Until a few years ago, Apple had started a big gift campaign between the years and given away a game, an app, a song, a film or a series every day with "Twelve Days of Gifts". Now there seems to be a new edition of the campaign.

According to media reports, there is great hope that Apple will once again give away a few interesting apps that are normally part of the paid apps. 

As MacRumors reports, among others, users have discovered and reported the action. The motto is "A New Surprise Awaits" - and that can really be everything, unfortunately, not much is known about the campaign.

At least Apple is already promoting the "daily surprise" in the app stores in Australia and New Zealand. It says there will be a new surprise every day from December 24th to 29th. 

The campaign has already started in New Zealand, but there is only a discount for December 24, no free offer.

There are even two offers. Once a bundle for Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, on which there is a 60 per cent discount. On the other hand, Apple offers a three-month subscription from Canva at the price of the regular monthly subscription. It is not yet known whether there will be the same deals worldwide and whether there will also be a completely free offer. It just remains a surprise.

That's how it works


How you find the surprises are already known: You have to open the App Store app and then look under the menu tabs Today, Games and Apps for the banner with an opened gift package. A surprise can wait in each tab.

Apple has already done similar actions during the holidays in the past. Especially those who get a new iPhone, iPad or iPod touch for Christmas should be happy about the campaign.
