Android 10/11: Nokia is increasingly having problems with bugs after update

Finnish marketer HMD Global alias Nokia, who rose from the ruins of the Windows Phone debacle, has recently had an astonishing success. This is mainly thanks to the Android operating system, but things didn't go quite well here recently.

 For many years, smartphone users dreamed of what it would be like if the Finnish mobile phone pioneer Nokia offered a reasonable operating system instead of Windows Phone, meaning Android, of course. After the failure of the Microsoft project, this became a reality, even if today's Nokia is no longer directly comparable to the manufacturer of yore.

Good hardware, quick updates

Nokia, which is now owned by HMD Global, has earned an excellent reputation because it not only has good and affordable hardware on offer but also puts a lot of effort into Android updates. Nokia has traditionally been one of the first manufacturers to provide a (stock) Android update after Google publishes it.

But as Deskmodder reports, this high speed when implementing Android updates also has a price: Because apparently more and more small and large bugs are creeping into the Nokia updates, currently it's about Android 10.

Battery discharge and other bugs

Probably the biggest problems include reports about "battery drain", which means unexpectedly fast discharge. Something like this occurs with almost all manufacturers and models, but that doesn't make things any better for those affected. 

Deskmodder also reports, where a number of devices and their forums were viewed, that there should be loudspeaker noise, and there is also a non-functioning search for locally stored contacts.

In addition, many users complain about a deterioration in performance, the main complaints are about opening apps and slowing down the system UI. Finally, some also complain about the lack of Face Unlock, but this is not a bug, but a feature or rather the implementation of a Google security policy.
